PRACTICE TEAM

Dr Sophia Khalique MBChB Distinction MRCGP DA DRCOG DFFP

Alongside her work at sykle.life, Sophia owns and leads her eponymous GP practice, Dr Sophia Khalique Associates, a Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated provider.

She enjoys a fulfilling career as a good old-fashioned GP, working in the private sector for over 25 years.

With what she modestly calls “a little bit of medical knowledge and a lot of common sense.” Known for her warmth and approachability, she relates effortlessly to patients of all ages, genders, and backgrounds.

She celebrates individuality and places equal importance on both physical and mental wellbeing. Deeply committed to prevention over cure, Sophia advocates for early, comprehensive health assessments—including blood tests and full-body scans—to identify and manage risk factors long before illness develops. Her growing expertise in anti-ageing and longevity medicine reflects her mission to help patients align their lifespan with their healthspan.

Sophia practices Medicine 3.0—an advanced model of healthcare rooted in prevention, personalisation, and participation.

After graduating with Distinction from Leicester Medical School in 1991, she completed postgraduate training in leading London teaching hospitals, covering Accident & Emergency, Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynaecology. During her anaesthetics training, she earned the prestigious Magill Medal – the highest mark in the country.

She holds the Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the Royal College and is a Faculty Member of Family Planning. A member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Sophia worked in the NHS before spending 20 years in partnership on Wimpole Street, gaining a wealth of experience prior to establishing her own Harley Street clinic in 2021.

Away from medicine, Sophia is the proud mother of three young adults working in the fashion industry. A lover of fashion and art herself, her consultation rooms reflect her creative spirit, with walls adorned by artwork generously gifted by her artist patients – work she deeply treasures and proudly showcases.

Sophia values connection, balance, and joy. She prioritises fitness, friendships, and fun, and enjoys travelling whenever she can. Living locally in Regent’s Park, she takes pleasure in the simple luxury of walking to work.

Sophia considers herself fortunate to have found her true vocation. She is deeply committed to helping her staff, patients, and clients lead lives that are not just long, but also happy and healthy.

“There is very little to living a life without striving for happiness. And by being the best version of yourself, you can be. Not competing to win, but to excel.”

Dr Mohammad Tamimi MB BCh BAO MRCP MRCGP MSc

Dr Tamimi is committed to empowering patients to regain control of their health, ensuring that an illness does not dictate their lives. He takes a transparent approach to communication, explaining the ‘what,’ ‘why,’ and ‘how’ of medical conditions and enlightening patients to develop a deep understanding of their health.

He believes that the essence of medical care lies beyond numbers and images on a screen; it centres on the patient, their unique symptoms, and the impact these have on their daily life and loved ones.

With over 8 years of experience in hospital medicine, he navigated the spectrum of medical emergencies, from the front doors of hospitals to the complexities of intensive care units. This wealth of medical knowledge is what he brings to our clinic.

Beyond the clinic, he is dedicated to giving back to the community. Outside of medical practice, he finds tranquillity in nature. Embarking on solo wild camping adventures in the remote mountains of the Scottish Highlands and other remote locations. Being in nature provides him with a profound sense of connection and enjoyment with the world around him.

As well as having membership to the Royal College of General Practitioners, he has membership to the Royal College of Physicians after many years of training in hospitals in all aspects of internal medicine. This makes him an excellent diagnostician adding to his many skills.
